1. What types of foie gras do you offer?

We offer three types of foie gras:

  • Fresh Foie Gras: Ideal for pan-frying; must be kept refrigerated and consumed within a few days.
  • Semi-Cooked / Pasteurized Foie Gras: Cooked at approximately 85°C; keep refrigerated between 0–4°C; perfect for immediate consumption or special dishes.
  • Canned / Sterilized Foie Gras: Cooked at high temperature (110°C) and shelf-stable; does not require refrigeration until opened.

2. How long can foie gras be stored?

  • Canned Foie Gras (unopened): 1–3 years
  • Semi-Cooked Foie Gras (unopened, refrigerated): 1–2 weeks
  • Fresh Foie Gras (refrigerated): 3–5 days
  • Fresh Foie Gras (frozen): 2–3 months

Always follow the storage instructions on the product packaging to maintain quality and safety.

3. How should I store foie gras?

  • Fresh and semi-cooked foie gras must be kept in the refrigerator between 0–4°C or frozen for longer storage.
  • Canned foie gras can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place until opened.
  • Once opened, store all types in the refrigerator and consume within 2–3 days.

4. Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship within the United States. We offer free priority delivery across the entire country.

5. How long does delivery take?

  • Standard delivery: 2–5 business days within the U.S.
  • UPS-served cities (East Coast, West Coast, Chicago, Atlanta) may receive deliveries slightly faster.
  • Orders placed before 12 pm ET are typically shipped the same day (excluding weekends and public holidays).

6. Is shipping free?

Yes, all deliveries within the U.S. are free, with no minimum order requirement.

7. Can I return my order?

  • Products can be returned within 30 days if they are damaged, defective, or do not match your order.
  • Returned foie gras must be stored properly (refrigerated or frozen). Improperly stored products may not be eligible for a refund.

8. How are refunds processed?

  • Once a returned product is received and inspected, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • If the product was damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped, FOIEGRASGOURMET covers the return shipping costs.
  • In cases of delivery issues beyond your control, a no-questions-asked refund is available.

9. Are your products safe to consume?

Yes. All our foie gras products are prepared following strict French artisanal methods and U.S. food safety regulations.

  • Canned foie gras is sterilized for long-term storage.
  • Semi-cooked foie gras is pasteurized to maintain safety while preserving flavor.
  • Fresh foie gras must be stored and handled properly to ensure safety.
